In 2006 the Protel AutoTrax PCB layout software was operated entirely successfully using the following permutation of hardware and software:
Driver 1024x768 version 1.12 PCB editor 1.61 ND Schematic editor 3.31 DOSemu 1.2.2.0 FreeDOS kernel 1.1.33 (build 2033) SuSE GNU/Linux 10.0 i586 Linux kernel 2.6.13-15.8-default KDE version 3.4.2 Video card Radeon 9600 with 256MB DDR
I encountered no problems with the installation or use of the AirBorn video driver. The only problems I have had were to do with the configuration of the DOS emulator and the configuration of the DOS windows in KDE. Also I found that it was not really practical to use the DOS emulator in a window and, instead, am running multiple instances of it with each instance operating in full screen mode.
The schematic editor and schematic plot software were also used successfully, as were some of the console mode utility programs. The PCB plotting software was not tried.
